Ally, your ability to capture things in your writing is unparalleled. I’ve followed for a while now and this one, like so many others have, speaks loudly to me. Thank you! Xo

Ally, this I can picture. Your writings iare beautiful. Sad for your invisible years and your right to being angry. Totally get it, as you know I have also muted and tried to be invisible to badly behaved parents. I empathise with you deeply. Well done 👏proud of you. Thank you for showing me a way through too. Love this and you xx

Thank you, Barbara. Even though I’ve never met you and there’s an ocean between us, I see you very clearly. I’m so glad you’re here in the world, visible and extraordinary.

Ally: thank you for sharing this. I could picture everything as I read the story. I felt the mix of emotions. I’m so grateful you shared this with us and took us through your journey. I have held my tongue with family members (specifically men) and you left me feeling inspired and hopeful for our ability to show up for what we need when we need it. Beautifully written. The pictures were a great addition as well.

Thanks so much, Ruthie. I’m grateful this resonated. May we all find the words when we need them (and wouldn’t it be nice if we needed them less often!)
