Thanks for your kind response. Yes, it’s a sad history for both of us—and so many others. But reading what you have written is healing. Relating to others who have traveled similar paths is healing for me. And since healing is a never ending process (for me at least), I appreciate the opportunity to connect.

I’m interested in learning more about how yoga has helped in your healing and am reading/listening to more of what you have shared. Thank you for the effort and time you have invested here, and the honest, vulnerable sharing. I appreciate you.

Absolutely agree that healing is an ongoing process. I think some things get easier with time and shifting perspectives. For example, I have so much more compassion for my mother than I did when I was younger. Forgiveness is not even an issue and that wasn't always the case. I can talk more about my own process with yoga and why I think it's been so helpful. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and I'm really glad you're here.

This is such an accurate description of the terrible family systems many young people have to grow up in. I am sorry you had to live that way, Ally and, unfortunately, I can relate. Sending a warm, loving hug for that precious little girl.
